About the role
TeamAce Limited is seeking an Email Forensics Specialist to investigate email-related security incidents, analyze digital evidence, and support incident response activities. The role involves examining email headers, metadata, server logs, and attachments to trace cyber threats such as phishing, spoofing, and business email compromise.
Responsibilities • Investigate phishing attacks, email spoofing, business email compromise (BEC), and other email security incidents. • Analyze email headers, metadata, attachments, server logs, and message routing to trace suspicious activities. • Collect, preserve, and document digital evidence while maintaining proper chain of custody. • Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT infrastructure teams to investigate incidents and implement preventive measures. • Prepare forensic reports and provide technical recommendations for incident response and security improvements.
Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Digital Forensics, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years' experience in digital forensics, cybersecurity, incident response, or email security investigations. • Strong knowledge of SMTP, IMAP, POP3, email header analysis, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Google Workspace security. • Proficiency in forensic tools such as FTK, EnCase, Autopsy, Wireshark, or Microsoft Purview. • Strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills. • Certifications such as CHFI, GCFA, GCFE, or CEH are an added advantage.
