About the role
Speedaf is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee long-haul and milk-run operations in Berger, Lagos. The role involves monitoring transit efficiency, managing vendor performance, onboarding new suppliers, and negotiating route costs to optimize logistics.
Responsibilities
- Monitor long-haul and milk-run operations to ensure smooth transit and improve on-time arrival rates
- Manage vendors and evaluate their weekly and monthly performance
- Onboard new suppliers to expand capacity and phase out underperforming vendors
- Negotiate prices with vendors to control route costs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Good communication and data analysis skills
- Minimum of 5 years' logistics and transportation experience, with at least 3 years in vendor management
- Willingness to accept business trips
