General Manager (Hotel)

Role Overview

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of the hotel. They ensure strategic and operational direction across all departments, driving profitability, revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the hotel.
• Ensure all departments operate efficiently and in line with approved standards.
• Translate management's strategic objectives into practical operational plans.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate between departments.
• Monitor financial performance, revenue, and cost control.
• Develop strategies to increase occupancy and revenue from rooms, F&B, and events.
• Lead commercial and business development activities.
• Oversee F&B outlets and ensure high standards of food quality and service.
• Ensure consistently high standards of guest service and resolve complaints.
• Establish and maintain clear operational standards and SOPs.
• Lead and motivate the hotel's workforce.
• Chair Heads of Department meetings and ensure accountability.
• Control hotel operating expenses and procurement.
• Ensure proper maintenance of hotel property and facilities.
• Ensure security, safety, and compliance with regulations.
