About the role
Mövenpick Hotel Ikoyi is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to support financial performance through reporting, budgeting, cost management, compliance, and financial analysis. The role involves daily finance operations, financial analysis, and team development.
Responsibilities
- Support daily finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, purchasing, and reporting.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, cash flow, credit approvals, and debt recovery.
- Analyse financial performance and help improve profitability and cost control.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and provide commercial insights.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Improve financial processes and support the development of the Finance team.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar senior finance role.
- Strong analytical, communication, commercial, and cost management skills.
- Knowledge of payroll taxes, accounts payable, and related financial processes.
- Experience with accounting systems; Opera Cloud, Sun Cloud, and other listed systems are an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
