HSE Officer
A global leader in port and terminal operations is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to support critical port and logistics operations. The role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting audits, and promoting a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the terminal's HSE Management System.
- Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and compliance assessments.
- Maintain awareness of emerging HSE regulations and industry standards.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions using root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.
- Deliver HSE awareness and training initiatives for employees and third parties.
Requirements
- A university degree, HND, or equivalent in Environmental Management, Engineering, or Health and Safety related fields.
- NEBOSH and/or IOSH Certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum three years of HSE experience, preferably within port operations, logistics, or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods handling, emergency response, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate within a dynamic port terminal environment.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and Microsoft Office skills.
