Optometrist

A skilled and patient-focused Optometrist is needed to join the team. The role involves conducting comprehensive eye examinations, using diagnostic equipment, and maintaining accurate clinical records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and committed to providing quality care.

Responsibilities

• Clerk patients and conduct preliminary eye assessments.
• Measure visual acuity and intraocular pressure, and perform objective and subjective refraction.
• Perform visual fields, optical coherence tomography, A-scan biometry, and B-scan ultrasonography.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and refer patients requiring ophthalmological review.
• Support the efficient running of the clinic and optical services.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry degree from a recognised university.
• Completed internship and NYSC, or an exemption certificate.
• Current ODORBN registration and practising licence.
• Preferably at least two years' post-internship experience; competent recently qualified optometrists may also be considered.
• Equipment training can be provided on site.
