IT Personnel

The IT Personnel plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school's technological infrastructure. This includes maintaining computer systems, networks, and the school portal, as well as providing technical support to staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains computer systems and networks
• Installs and configures computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
• Takes staff through a series of actions and sets up systems or resolves issues
• Troubleshoots system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
• Replaces parts as required and ensures that all computer systems are well protected from virus
• Provides support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
• Sets up new users' accounts and profiles and deals with password issues
• Responds swiftly to issues; works continuously on a task until completion and refers to third parties, if unresolved
• Prioritises and manages cases on the school portal appropriately as the administrator
• Collaborates with staff and software developers to enhance effective school administration
• Conducts electrical safety checks on computer equipment
• Collaborates with the school leadership to make informed decisions relating to IT
• Collaborates across departments and functional areas that support adoption and implementation of technology in all aspects, including those that improve teaching and learning and promote 21st Century skills.
