Chief Accounting Officer

Fairtex Nigeria Ltd is seeking a highly competent, experienced, and results-driven Chief Accounting Officer to lead and oversee the company's accounting and financial reporting functions. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, maintaining effective financial controls, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely financial reporting to support business decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
• 5 to 7 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in accounting, finance, auditing, or related roles
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, audit, and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and data management
• Strong understanding of IFRS and Nigerian financial reporting requirements
• Excellent analytical, numerical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure
