About the role

General Manager

The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership to drive real estate sales, revenue growth, business development, and overall organisational efficiency. The role will oversee branch and departmental performance, drive property sales, develop strategic partnerships, and translate management objectives into measurable business results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategies aligned with organisational growth objectives.
  • Drive revenue, profitability, market expansion, and business growth.
  • Translate management objectives into actionable plans, targets, and KPIs.
  • Identify new markets, business opportunities, property offerings, and revenue streams.
  • Lead the organisation’s real estate sales and business development initiatives.
  • Drive achievement of property sales and revenue targets.
  • Monitor sales pipeline, lead generation, conversion, collections, and revenue performance.
  • Build strategic relationships with clients, investors, corporate organisations, institutions, agents, and other partners.
  • Lead high-value property negotiations and transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve property sales and market penetration.
  • Provide direction and oversight to Branch Managers and key operational teams.
  • Monitor branch and departmental performance against approved targets and KPIs.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure effective coordination between Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and other departments.
  • Provide strategic oversight of the company’s property and investment portfolio.
  • Support initiatives to improve property sales, customer acquisition, and portfolio performance.
  • Monitor challenges affecting property transactions and ensure timely resolution.
  • Set clear performance expectations and hold managers and sales teams accountable.
  • Review team and departmental performance and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Coach, develop, and motivate management and sales-level employees.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Provide regular reports on property sales, revenue, collections, branch performance, operations, and business development.
  • Analyse business performance and provide actionable recommendations to the MD/CEO.
  • Track implementation of strategic decisions and ensure timely delivery.
  • Work closely with Finance and other departments on revenue, collections, and commercial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field; MBA/MSc is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 8 years progressive professional experience, with significant experience in real estate sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving real estate sales and revenue targets.
  • Prior experience managing or leading a real estate sales team is required.
  • Strong understanding of the real estate sales cycle, business development, team management, and the Lagos real estate market.

Salary ₦800,000 – ₦1,000,000 per month
