Treasury and Financial Controller

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Treasury & Accounts Controller to oversee treasury operations, accounting activities, financial reporting, cash management, and banking relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other funding partners.
• Monitor daily bank balances, cash positions, loans, and overall liquidity.
• Perform bank reconciliations, resolve outstanding/open items, and verify bank charges.
• Manage and monitor Letters of Credit (LCs), imports, costing, foreign currency transactions, and exposures.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial projections, and other financial reports.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
• Analyse costs, profitability, margins, actual performance against budgets, previous periods, and other key financial indicators.
• Support business units in cost control and initiatives aimed at improving financial performance.
• Prepare quarterly and year-end financial accounts for regulatory submissions, statutory audits, and annual reporting.
• Work closely with external auditors to facilitate statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the ICT team to improve financial automation, systems, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in treasury, accounting, financial control, or a related finance function is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of treasury management, cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Letters of Credit, import transactions, foreign currency transactions, and exposure management.
• Experience working with external auditors and regulatory financial reporting.
• Strong Excel and accounting / ERP systems skills.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
