Rental Electrical Engineer

Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment, generator sets, and specialized units. Works with other departments to ensure timely job delivery and reduce downtime.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and trace faults on electrical modules and components of Caterpillar engines (Gas & Diesel), generator sets, machine systems, and specialized units.
• Conduct inspection, load testing, PDS, and commissioning of new Caterpillar equipment.
• Establish and follow up on parts required for assigned jobs.
• Use diagnostic tools to evaluate the performance of repaired components and systems.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and specifications.
• Prepare single line diagrams, electrical calculations, cable sizing, and material specifications.
• Interface with relevant departments and site operators.
• Take care of company assets (tools, test equipment, vehicle, etc.).
• Report difficult tasks to appropriate authorities.
• Prepare service reports and documents for customers and management.

Requirements

• HND/First Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3 years of professional field experience
• Good working knowledge of Caterpillar Electrics
• Sound and safe driving skills
• Valid professional driving license
