About the role
Procurement & Contract Officer
Responsible for managing end-to-end procurement of pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, equipment, and services for Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital and SEOF programmes. Ensures compliance with procurement policies, supplier management, contract administration, and cost optimization.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement processes from requisition to delivery.
- Enforce procurement governance and controls.
- Qualify and manage healthcare suppliers.
- Administer contracts and monitor performance.
- Support demand planning and inventory management.
- Maintain procurement documentation and systems.
- Provide reports on procurement activities.
- Ensure ethical and compliant procurement practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
