Procurement Officer

Role Overview

Softhills Limited is seeking a Product Sourcing & Procurement Officer to identify and source profitable products from Nigerian markets, online platforms, and international sources. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, managing purchases, ensuring quality control, and coordinating logistics.

Responsibilities

• Source profitable products from local markets, Nigerian online vendors, and international platforms.
• Build and maintain a database of trusted suppliers.
• Spot new product trends and recommend items that match target customers.
• Negotiate prices, credit terms, and delivery conditions.
• Place purchase orders and follow through until goods are received.
• Inspect samples and bulk goods for defects and compliance with brand standards.
• Coordinate with logistics partners and freight forwarders for international sourcing.
• Submit weekly sourcing reports and keep records of transactions and supplier agreements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sourcing/procurement for retail or e-commerce (Nigeria experience is a big plus).
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of Nigerian markets.
• Comfortable moving around markets and vendor locations.
• Basic Excel/Google Sheets skills.
