Media Buyer and Planning Manager

PeSS Group is seeking an experienced Media Buyer and Planning Manager to develop media strategies, manage media procurement and execute campaigns across traditional and digital channels while maximizing ROI for clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop media strategies, plans and budget allocations across TV, Radio, OOH, Print, Digital and Influencer channels.
• Lead media procurement, vendor sourcing, negotiation and buying to secure competitive rates and prime placements.
• Manage media budgets with focus on cost efficiency, savings and value optimization.
• Manage vendor pre-qualification, evaluation, contracting and post-campaign reconciliation.
• Analyze market data, audience insights and competitor activities to guide media planning.
• Oversee campaign execution, monitoring, optimization and reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with media houses, vendors and publishers.
• Prepare media plans, performance reports and post-buy analysis for clients.
• Supervise Media Executives and ensure timely delivery of media tasks.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of proven experience in media buying and planning within a media/advertising agency.
• Strong experience in media procurement, vendor sourcing, negotiation and cost management.
• Strong knowledge of Nigeria’s traditional and digital media landscape.
• Proficiency in media planning tools and Excel.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and client management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
