Senior Technical Subject Matter Expert – Construction Management & QA/​QC

Minim and Tonye Nigeria Limited is seeking a Senior Technical Subject Matter Expert to provide specialist advisory services for construction execution, quality management, fabrication, installation, and commissioning readiness in upstream oil and gas projects. The role involves technical oversight, contractor evaluation, compliance assurance, and mentorship of project teams.

Responsibilities • Review construction execution strategies, plans, and methodologies. • Assess contractors' capabilities, resources, procedures, and project performance. • Review QA/QC plans, inspection procedures, test plans, and quality records. • Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, construction standards, and regulatory requirements. • Review fabrication, installation, welding, mechanical completion, and pre-commissioning activities. • Assess construction risks, quality deficiencies, and corrective action plans. • Provide technical guidance on construction management, site execution, and quality control. • Evaluate construction progress, productivity, resource utilisation, and schedules. • Recommend improvements to construction quality, safety, and project delivery. • Mentor construction managers, QA/QC personnel, inspectors, and engineering teams.

Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline. • Minimum 25 years of cumulative international upstream oil and gas experience. • Extensive experience in construction management, fabrication, installation, and QA/QC within the oil and gas industry. • Demonstrable experience in onshore and/or offshore upstream project construction. • Strong knowledge of international construction codes, engineering standards, and quality management systems. • Experience in contractor management, construction supervision, project execution, and quality audits. • Proven experience in operational or technical roles within major or medium-sized IOCs. • Strong leadership, communication, and mentorship skills. • Postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in Construction Management or Quality Management are an advantage.
