Principal

We are seeking an experienced Principal to provide strategic academic and operational leadership for an Islamic boarding college in Ibadan, Oyo State. The Principal will drive academic excellence, student welfare and character development while building strong staff performance and parent confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership for teaching, learning, curriculum implementation and examinations to sustain academic excellence across the College.
• Supervise Heads of Department and teachers, conduct performance reviews, monitor lesson delivery and ensure consistent educational standards.
• Oversee boarding operations, hostel supervision, pastoral care, student wellbeing, safeguarding and residential discipline.
• Promote positive behaviour, Islamic values and holistic character development alongside strong student academic outcomes.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate academic and support staff, and ensure school policies, SOPs and compliance standards are effectively implemented.
• Strengthen parent relations and student retention, support enrolment growth, and develop school improvement plans with KPIs and accurate management reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in Educational Management or Administration is an advantage.
• Substantial senior school leadership experience, preferably as a Vice Principal, Principal or Head of School, including experience in a boarding environment.
• Proven track record of improving academic results and managing teaching staff performance.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, student welfare and boarding management practices.
• Commitment to Islamic values and the ability to model and instil them in students and staff.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and report-writing skills.
