System & Network Administrator

NEM Insurance Plc is seeking an experienced System & Network Administrator to oversee its corporate IT infrastructure, enterprise network environment, and information security operations. The role involves maintaining network uptime, troubleshooting hardware and system issues, implementing cybersecurity protocols, and providing technical support across internal insurance platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and optimize corporate network infrastructure, enterprise servers, and standard networking protocols.
• Maintain information security frameworks, oversee hardware health, and ensure network environments adhere to cybersecurity best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware, network devices, and IES (Insurance Enterprise System) software.
• Maintain detailed logs of network configurations, system performance, IT assets, and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND from a reputable institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience in system and network administration (experience providing IT/IES support within the insurance sector is an added advantage).
• Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, Fortinet, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certified Administrator) are a strong advantage.
• Strong technical diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving ability.
