About this programme
DevOps engineers are the people who make sure code goes from a developer's laptop to live users quickly and safely. This programme starts from the Linux command line and builds up to containers, automated pipelines and cloud deployment, with live demos and guided labs every week.
No prior coding job is needed, but you should be comfortable with a laptop and ready to practise between classes. You will finish with a working project on GitHub that builds, tests and deploys an app automatically, which is the kind of proof hiring managers ask for.
By the end you’ll be able to
- Work confidently on a Linux server: files, users, permissions, processes and shell scripts
- Use Git and GitHub to manage code and collaborate through pull requests
- Package an app with Docker and deploy it to the cloud through a GitHub Actions pipeline
- Set up basic monitoring and alerts, and explain your setup clearly in a technical interview
