Mechanic

We are seeking a competent Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain construction equipment and heavy duty vehicles to ensure optimum performance and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs on construction equipment and vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance on heavy-duty equipment such as excavators, loaders, concrete mixers, cranes, and generators.
• Inspect engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components.
• Replace defective parts and conduct servicing activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Ensure equipment availability and operational efficiency at project sites.
• Comply with all company safety policies and industry regulations.
• Report major mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND, Trade Test Certificate, or Technical Vocational Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience maintaining construction or heavy-duty equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical manuals and maintenance schedules.
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
