Apigee Engineer

Lead in high-level technical concepts spanning technology and business to support Apigee, Apigee Hybrid in AKS and AWS. Maintain the health and efficiency of all application infrastructure, provide hands-on implementation and technical advice, and support application platforms at the enterprise level.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve application infrastructure
• Automate platform build, patches, vulnerabilities, change management, incident management, and monitoring
• Collaborate with peers, technology partners, and vendors to identify, automate, and roll out patches
• Support and manage APIs and Microservices using Java, Spring Boot, etc.
• Create, organize, and implement API support processes
• Support and deploy API policies using the Apigee Platform
• Experience with Apigee Developer Portal and Drupal integration
• Perform cloud security and certificate management
• Develop long-range plans to resolve and prevent problems
• Direct daily risk and control flow of operations

Requirements

• Experience with Apigee API Management Platform
• Experience with Apigee, OAuth admin, and JWT
• Experience creating, organizing, and implementing API support processes
• Excellent communication skills
• 3+ years of Red Hat Linux or UNIX experience
• Kubernetes experience for containerized implementation
• 5+ years of Java or scripting and automation using Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages
• 5+ years of supporting application platforms
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines to deploy proxies in various environments
