Capacity Deployment Lead - Data Center Operations

Anthropic is seeking a Capacity Deployment Lead to support and scale the deployment of new compute capacity across partner-operated data centers. The role involves overseeing the entire deployment lifecycle, from construction kickoff to ready for service (RFS), with a focus on compute infrastructure, racks, and accelerator systems.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment outcomes for assigned sites and data-hall waves, ensuring readiness dates are met.
• Engage from construction kickoff, confirming deployment readiness ahead of each wave.
• Be on-site at key points during delivery, deployment, QA, and close-out, verifying work with firsthand inspections.
• Work with site leadership to ensure successful rack delivery, integration QA, power-on, network turn-up, and burn-in validation.
• Validate handover gates for each CU and data hall, including acceptance criteria, documentation, and spares.
• Turn best practices and lessons learned into program-wide improvements.
• Extend the deployment program to new sites and platforms as the fleet grows.
• Communicate deployment status, dependencies, constraints, and risks to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data center operations or hardware deployment as a manager or technical lead.
• Proven track record leading compute or network hardware deployments at scale across multiple sites.
• Experience managing vendors, OEMs, or contract workforces to measurable outcomes.
• Hands-on technical depth in server, network, and rack-level hardware.
• Experience building or improving operational processes.
• Comfort working with schedule, ticket, and telemetry data to drive decisions.
• Willingness to travel heavily (50%+ travel) and work on-site for extended periods.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

Salary Annual Salary: $320,000 – $405,000 USD
