Platform & Backend Orchestration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Platform & Backend Orchestration Engineer to take ownership of the persistent service layer that connects compiler, model, deployment, and power-control capabilities into secure, reliable, and scalable customer-facing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the backend platform services that power the One-Click customer workflow, including APIs, job orchestration, queues, artefact management, deployment, validation, and result handling.
• Integrate the platform with SteadGrid for authenticated node-control requests, real-time state, audit, and telemetry consumption, while exposing controlled interfaces for authorized external agents and platform integrations.
• Build the security and reliability foundations required for production, including role-based access control, audit logging, idempotency, retries, timeouts, failure handling, operational dashboards, support tooling, API documentation, automated testing, observability, post-launch incident resolution, and workflow evolution.
• Work closely with the CTO/Software Lead, Principal Compiler Architect, and Hardware Platform Architect to ensure that backend services integrate cleanly with the wider compiler, hardware, and infrastructure stack.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend/platform engineering experience
• Strong production experience with Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java
• Experience building APIs, asynchronous job orchestration, queues, and database-backed services
• Experience with containerized services, CI/CD, and production observability
• Strong Linux and infrastructure integration experience
• Familiarity with Redfish, BMC, and/or device-management APIs
• Experience designing secure, multi-tenant platforms
• Strong understanding of reliability, security, and production operations
• Excellent ownership and documentation skills
• Ability to rapidly absorb and operationalize knowledge transferred by contractors and other technical teams
