Engineering and Maintenance Manager
The Engineering and Maintenance Manager will oversee engineering and maintenance operations across mechanical, electrical, utilities, and fabrication units, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily engineering and maintenance operations.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Lead equipment troubleshooting and breakdown recovery.
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and work permits.
- Supervise machine installations, modifications, upgrades, repairs, and commissioning.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections in line with HSE requirements.
- Ensure maintenance work meets engineering and production standards.
- Coordinate critical spare parts availability and inventory control.
- Supervise, coach, and manage engineering personnel.
- Support technical training and competence development.
- Prepare engineering reports and improvement recommendations with the HOD Engineering.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7–10 years’ engineering/maintenance experience in manufacturing or chemical industry, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- NSE or COREN preferred; HSE Level 3.
- Certification in equipment maintenance or reliability engineering is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems maintenance, preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, reliability engineering, project execution, utilities management, engineering drawings, documentation, and equipment commissioning.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills.
- High safety consciousness, integrity, and accountability.
Salary N500,000 - N550,000 monthly
