Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) is seeking a qualified, competent and detail-oriented Drug Dispenser to support pharmaceutical services and ensure the safe, accurate and timely dispensing of medicines within its health programme. The role involves dispensing medicines, managing prescriptions, maintaining records, and ensuring proper storage and handling of medical supplies.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review prescriptions for completeness, legibility, and authorization before dispensing.
• Dispense prescribed medicines accurately in accordance with authorized prescriptions, approved treatment protocols, and established procedures.
• Provide clear instructions on medication use to patients and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate dispensing registers, prescription records, and other required pharmaceutical documentation.
• Monitor medicine stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Report discrepancies and document any issues related to dispensing or stock management.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in pharmacy or medicine dispensing.
• Professional registration or license where applicable.
• Experience in medicine dispensing and pharmaceutical stock management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to regulatory requirements.
