Barman / Barlady / Waiters / Waittress

Role Overview

A 5-star hotel in Mushin, Lagos is seeking experienced Barman/Barlady, Waiters, and Waitresses to deliver exceptional service to guests. The ideal candidates should be able to anticipate customer needs and provide friendly and efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort customers to their tables
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
• Inform customers about the day’s specials
• Offer menu recommendations upon request
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
• Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
• Up-sell additional products when appropriate
• Take accurate food and drinks orders, communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
• Serve food and drink orders
• Follow all relevant health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of bar menu items and recipes (different types of beers and mixed drinks)
• Some experience making Mocktails/Cocktails
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Endurance to walk and stand for long hours
