Hotel Waiter (Male)

Hotel Capitol is a modern three-star hotel located at the heart of Omole Phase 1 in Lagos. The hotel is seeking a Hotel Waiter (Male) to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Handles guest’s bills and invoices in a good quality service manner.
• Maintains the cleanliness and service supply at the service station to ensure prompt and effective operation.
• Familiar with all food and beverage items on the outlet menu.
• Prepares the outlet for operation, including setting and resetting tables, light cleaning and other assigned tasks.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests, upselling wherever possible.
• Utilizes the outlet point-of-sales system as prescribed.
• Ensures that all sales are properly recorded, following prescribed procedures for ordering, voiding or correcting items.
• Serves food and beverages according to the standards established.
• Clears tables and removes dirty dishes to the dish area.
• Completes opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Is flexible in meeting special requests from guests for specific food and beverage preparation methods and ingredients.
• Follows presentation guidelines as established by the Management.
• Serves food and beverages to guests according to prescribed service standards and procedures of room service with emphasis on speed and accuracy.
• Reports to the Restaurant Supervisor at the start of shift to receive necessary instructions for the shift, side duties assigned, floor assignment, menu changes, guest comments and complaints.
• Accomplishes and forwards captain order slip to the kitchen for orders of food and for drinks to the supervisor or efficiently and correctly.
• Familiarizes with all food and beverage items in the menu, items on promotions and daily special menu, its ingredients, method of preparation, portion size and presentation to be able to deliver ideal service maximizing guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a minimum of SSCE.
• Candidates should reside within Akute, Ojodu, Ikeja, Agege, Ogba, Axis.
