Principal Quality Engineer

LawnStarter is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to lead and evolve the company's quality engineering strategy. This role will focus on driving test coverage, AI-native tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and overall quality standards across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the company-wide quality engineering roadmap and accountability framework.
• Define and implement test strategies across the stack (unit, component, API, end-to-end, mobile, non-functional).
• Lead the development of AI-native quality tooling and integrate it into the workflow.
• Manage CI/CD and test infrastructure, including performance budgets and mobile test automation.
• Monitor production quality signals and tie them into incident response and dashboards.
• Provide technical mentorship to QA engineers across the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience in quality engineering, test strategy, and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of AI tools and their application in testing.
• Experience with end-to-end and mobile testing frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce quality standards.
