Billing Operations Analyst 1

Twilio is looking for a results-driven Billing Operations Analyst to join our remote team. This role involves managing customer billing, supporting revenue operations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience with billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Revenue Team external customer email, responding to customer and other external queries in a timely manner.
• Onboard customers to Twilio’s internal billing system and Financial ERP system.
• Gather and format large raw data sets to assist with customer billing reporting and queries.
• Participate in month-end close, including managing recurring billing, tracking approvals, and applying customer credits.
• Assist in the development of financial controls and processes surrounding revenue and invoicing.
• Resolve customer billing queries and independently investigate issues to provide detailed analysis.
• Manipulate and analyze large datasets in Excel.
• Communicate with Sales teams via Slack, SFDC, and calls.
• Collaborate with other teams to solve root problems.
• Help out on other teams within the Billing Ops group as requested.

Requirements

• Strong experience in billing/revenue/order-to-cash processes.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience working with Oracle, Zuora, and Salesforce is advantageous.
• Solid experience working with large volume transactions with strong attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel user: able to handle large raw data sets using pivots and functions such as VLOOKUPS.
• 1-3 years of experience in an operations role.
• Periodic weekend work will be essential for this role.
• Third-level qualification in Accountancy, Finance, or a business-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Spanish and English.
