About the role

Role Overview

The Programmes, Partnership & Communications Manager will support the strategic growth and day-to-day delivery of CGI Nigeria’s programmes, membership, communications, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement activities. The candidate will be responsible for translating strategic priorities into effective programmes and initiatives that expand the Chapter’s reach, strengthen member engagement, and enhance its visibility and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow, engage, and retain individual and corporate members.
  • Build relationships with senior executives and convert prospective members into active members while tracking membership targets.
  • Develop and deliver an annual programme strategy addressing emerging climate, nature, and governance priorities for Nigerian boards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate conferences, webinars, roundtables, workshops, and board development programmes.
  • Implement the Chapter’s communications strategy in collaboration with the Public Relations Consultant across digital and other communication channels.
  • Develop and promote high-quality presentations, reports, articles, and thought leadership content to strengthen the Chapter’s profile.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with government, regulators, academia, development partners, and the private sector.
  • Identify partnership, fundraising, and sponsorship opportunities while coordinating engagement with key local and global stakeholders.
  • Support the Executive Director in the effective day-to-day management and coordination of Secretariat activities.
  • Coordinate governance meetings, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely follow-up and completion of agreed actions.

Requirements

  • First degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Policy, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in programme management, communications, stakeholder engagement, business development, or partnership management.
  • Experience working with senior executives or board members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and report-writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating executive-level events.
