Associate Professor - Department of Basic Medical Laboratory Science.

We are seeking a highly competent and result-oriented Associate Professor to join the Department of Basic Medical Laboratory Science at Nile University of Nigeria. The role involves teaching, research, and academic leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
• Develop curricula and course material that can be used across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with other academics to improve teaching methods and expand knowledge.
• Set and grade assignments, tests, and exams.
• Conduct research, write papers, proposals, journal articles, and books.
• Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and other events.
• Participate in training opportunities and initiatives at the institution.
• Provide support to students and colleagues.
• Stay current by reading widely and producing published work in the field.

Requirements

• Must be a Reader with a Ph.D. degree.
• Evidence of outstanding experience in teaching, research, and administration.
• Record of substantial publications in reputable journals.
• Evidence of undergraduate and postgraduate supervision.
• High level of professionalism, ethical standards, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
• Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and accurately complete tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Affiliation with a professional body.
• Proficiency in MS Office Packages and video conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams.
