Pharmacist

Role Overview

The Pharmacist will dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines, verify medication orders, and counsel patients on the safe and effective use of their medications. Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, monitoring drug interactions, managing inventory, and maintaining proper documentation.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines
• Verify medication orders and review prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness
• Monitor for drug interactions and maintain proper documentation
• Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and cold chain compliance
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to prevent stockouts
• Contribute to medication safety initiatives and support quality improvement activities
• Provide excellent customer service in a community and hospital-support setting

Requirements

• Licensed Pharmacist with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
• Strong community pharmacy skills including prescription review and medication therapy management
• Experience with community pharmacy operations, including dispensing and patient counseling
• Ability to manage inventory and ensure appropriate storage conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Prior experience in a similar pharmacy setting in Nigeria is preferred

Salary Monthly salary is Two Hundred and Seventy Thousand Naira (N270,000.00)
