The Internal Auditor is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes across the organization. Responsibilities include planning and executing financial and operational audits, reviewing compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and analyzing financial data to identify irregularities or inefficiencies.

• Reviewing compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Analyzing financial data to identify irregularities or inefficiencies
• Preparing clear and timely audit reports with findings and recommendations
• Following up on the implementation of agreed action plans
• Collaborating with finance and operations teams to strengthen processes
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting management in decision-making with accurate audit insights
• Maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all engagements

Requirements

• Strong skills in Finance and Financial Audits
• Robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and evaluate risks and process effectiveness
• Ability to prepare and review Audit Reports, presenting findings and recommendations clearly and accurately
• Effective Communication skills to engage with stakeholders, explain audit results, and support corrective actions
• Relevant bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACA, ACCA) are an advantage
• Experience in internal auditing, external auditing, or financial control within retail, healthcare, or pharmaceutical sectors is beneficial
• Proficiency in spreadsheet and accounting software
• Attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
