About the role

The Cloud Sales Executive is responsible for growing the organization's recurring revenue by winning new cloud customers and expanding existing cloud accounts. The role focuses on fintechs, microfinance banks, insurers, and other data-sensitive Nigerian businesses that need secure, locally hosted cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities

- Partner and Channel Development: Develop referral relationships with core banking and fintech software vendors, system integrators and other partners who can bring cloud hosting opportunities to the company.
- Needs Discovery and Solution Positioning: Understand each prospect’s workloads, regulatory obligations and current set-up (AWS, Azure, OCI, Huawei Cloud or on premises), and position the right company Cloud services: compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery, managed database and secure connectivity.
- Regulatory and Compliance Selling: Use the CBN data residency requirement, the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and relevant certifications (ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 22301 and PCI DSS) to build the business case with CTOs, CISOs, compliance and risk officers.
- Competitive Positioning: Win on value rather than price against hyperscalers and other cloud providers by demonstrating local support, data residency, compliance, managed services and total cost of ownership.
- Proof of Concept (POC) Management: Agree POC scope, success criteria and timelines with the prospect and the cloud engineering team; drive each POC to a decision and convert it into a signed contract.
- Proposals, Pricing and Contracts: Prepare quotes and proposals using approved pricing; negotiate commercial terms, service levels (SLAs) and data residency commitments within agreed approval limits.
- Onboarding Handover: Hand each won customer over to the cloud engineering team with a complete handover pack and remain the commercial owner throughout onboarding.
- Account Growth and Retention: Manage existing cloud customers commercially: secure renewals, sell additional capacity and services, and identify churn risk early.
- Pipeline Management and Forecasting: Record all leads, opportunities and activities in the CRM; submit weekly activity reports and an accurate monthly forecast.
- Market Intelligence and Product Feedback: Report on competitor pricing and offers, customer objections and feature requests to inform company pricing and service development.
- Cross-Referral: Refer Oracle infrastructure, database, support and training opportunities to the organisation team responsible in line with the agreed lead-handover process.
