Role Overview

We are looking for a hardworking and passionate Cook to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing healthy, delicious, and well-presented meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to the required menu.
• Ensure food is fresh, properly prepared, and well presented.
• Plan meals and assist with menu preparation when required.
• Purchase or assist in purchasing food ingredients and kitchen supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and cooking area.
• Properly store food items and monitor ingredients to avoid waste.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Prepare meals on time according to the daily schedule.
• Monitor food stock and report items that need to be replenished.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc Degree in any field (Catering/Hospitality certificate is an advantage)
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Cook, preferably in a guest house, hotel, or restaurant.
• Good knowledge of Nigerian and Continental cuisine.
• Ability to prepare meals for individuals or groups.
• Honest, reliable, and hardworking.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Strong sense of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
