Lead QA Engineer

As a Lead QA Engineer, you'll own testing strategy and quality standards across multiple projects. You'll lead test planning, build and maintain automated test suites, conduct manual and exploratory testing, and mentor other QA engineers. You'll act as the technical point of contact for quality with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and resolving disagreements about scope and testing timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead test strategy and quality standards across multiple projects
• Build and maintain automated test suites in Playwright
• Define and run deep manual and exploratory testing
• Translate requirements into concrete test plans and acceptance criteria
• Act as the technical point of contact for quality with stakeholders
• Write clear defect reports in Jira and drive them to resolution
• Mentor other QA engineers in manual technique and automation practice
• Stay ahead of testing tools and practices worth adopting
• Operate and champion the use of AI tooling

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
• Experience using BrowserStack
• Deep grounding in manual, exploratory, and regression testing
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous requirements into test plans
• Strong Jira practice
• Experience testing across a range of CMS or SaaS platforms
• Strong communication skills
• Prior experience as a technical or testing lead on large or multi-phase projects

Salary $85,000 - $110,000 annually
