About the role

Chief Financial Officer

The CFO provides strategic financial leadership, overseeing all financial planning, risk management, reporting, and compliance functions. The role ensures sustainable growth, financial integrity, and shareholder value while supporting operational and investment decisions across the Group.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Finance team through clear expectations, training, coaching, regular meetings, and performance management.
  • Establish and maintain robust standard operating policies and procedures that ensure adequate internal controls over Finance Department activities.
  • Advise the Group Managing Director and Board on financial performance, market trends, and business opportunities.
  • Resolve all billing-related disputes promptly.
  • Analyse Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable on a weekly basis.
  • Review all ledger details (including guest ledger and deposit ledgers) to validate accurate payment and revenue posting.
  • Review all postings, payments, revenue, and guest balance reports daily.
  • Ensure adequate cash flows to support effective business unit operations.
  • Maintain banking relationships and negotiate loans and merchant services.
  • Manage inter-account transfers as required.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports for the management team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
  • Develop and manage the annual budgets for the Group.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Implement cost-control measures to optimise expenses.
  • Analyse operational costs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with subsidiaries to develop financial plans aligned with organisational goals.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate finance transactions.
  • Track profit/loss performance by business unit (including monthly business segment profitability).
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • MBA or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ relevant post-graduation experience, with at least 5 years in a senior position.
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CFA or equivalent) is required.

Salary

  • N1,000,000 - 1,500,000
