About the role
Marketing Executive – Building Materials Industry
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Marketing Executive with proven experience in the Building Materials Industry to drive sales, develop new business opportunities, and expand market share across Lagos and its environs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and building materials market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, architects, engineers, distributors, dealers, and retail customers
- Promote and sell building materials (cement, roofing sheets, tiles, sanitary wares, paints, steel products, plumbing materials, electrical materials, aluminium products, doors, windows, etc.) to new and existing customers
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor customer needs, competitor activities, pricing, and market trends
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales transactions
- Manage key customer accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports
- Participate in product demonstrations, exhibitions, and promotional activities
- Follow up on outstanding payments and support debt recovery efforts
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of sales and marketing experience within the Building Materials Industry
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of building materials market and distribution channels
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
- Strong business development and customer acquisition skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and travel within Lagos as required
- Hands-on experience marketing and selling building materials is mandatory
