Hospitality Accountant

A prestigious luxury hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos is seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong understanding of hospitality finance. This role offers the opportunity to manage financial operations for a growing luxury hospitality business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Manage daily revenue reconciliation across hotel and restaurant operations
• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and petty cash
• Process accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
• Monitor budgets and control operational costs
• Ensure accurate inventory costing and stock reconciliations
• Oversee payroll preparation and statutory deductions
• Prepare and file tax returns while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Support internal and external audits
• Monitor financial controls and recommend process improvements
• Work closely with departmental managers to ensure financial efficiency across operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience within the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines

Salary

N450,000 per month
