Inspection Engineer Trainee

JC International is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inspection Engineer Trainee to join their team in Lagos. The role involves assisting with the inspection of lifting equipment and accessories, ensuring compliance with operating procedures and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test piece surfaces for inspection activities.
• Conduct inspections under the supervision of the Inspection Engineer.
• Generate accurate and detailed inspection reports.
• Enforce compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.
• Perform proof load testing and thorough examinations of lifting equipment and cargo carrying units under supervision.
• Carry out Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE) following JC International’s procedures and customer specifications.
• Ensure job completion forms are signed off by clients upon task completion.
• Attend daily toolbox meetings to review safety and operational plans.
• Participate in weekly reviews of operating procedures and standards.
• Inspect and verify the readiness of materials and tools before starting tasks.
• Record equipment identification numbers in the mobilization booklet.

Requirements

• B.Eng / BTech in Engineering of the engineering discipline.
• Up to 3 years of experience in a similar inspection engineering role is an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills.
