Accountant

Arksego Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced Accountant to provide strategic financial counsel to the Executive team, driving high-quality business decisions and optimal resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual budgets and lead financial planning processes
• Oversee fiscal reporting activities in line with IFRS standards
• Produce monthly business reports, balance sheets, and cash flow projections
• Supervise month-end closing activities and provide daily cash positions
• Maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard organizational assets
• Monitor banking relationships, lodgments, and salary payments
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor reconciliations
• Prepare monthly salaries, execute payroll audits, and review tax/pension remittances
• Manage reconciliations with statutory agencies (tax and pension bodies)
• Support new business development initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related field
• Professional accounting certification (ICAN or ACCA) — mandatory
• Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years as a Manager
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software
• Advanced mastery of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proven background in business management, statistics, and financial modeling

Nice to Have

• Previous work experience in security services or outsourcing firms
