Finance Accountant (Creative Experiential Agency)

iRecruiters Africa Limited is seeking a Finance Accountant to manage financial processes and accounting activities for events, activations, and experiential marketing projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records including invoices, receipts, and payment documentation
• Manage vendor cost control and process vendor payments and staff reimbursements
• Prepare project, event, and departmental budgets
• Track project expenses and ensure costs remain within approved budgets
• Perform bank, vendor, and account reconciliations regularly
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and summaries for management
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with vendors and internal teams regarding payment schedules and documentation
• Process payroll, PAYE, VAT remittances, and ensure statutory compliance
• Support audit processes by organizing financial records and documentation

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in accounting or finance with an experiential marketing agency, events company, advertising agency, or project-based environment
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent budgeting and cost-control skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
• Strong reconciliation and financial analysis skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced events and activations environment
