About the role

Assistant Director of Sales II – Sheraton Lagos Hotel

Join Marriott International as an Assistant Director of Sales II and drive revenue growth across segmented sales channels while building lasting customer relationships at our flagship Lagos property.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement segment-specific sales strategies (group, transient, association, corporate) in collaboration with the Director of Sales
  • Develop and execute aggressive solicitation programs to increase business and achieve revenue targets
  • Manage day-to-day sales activities including client calls, proposal generation, contract writing, and customer correspondence
  • Set and achieve personal booking goals while recommending targets for sales team members
  • Approve space release for catering to maximize revenue in the absence of a Business Evaluation Manager
  • Analyze market data using sales systems and work with Revenue Management on six-period projections
  • Conduct pre- and post-convention meetings with guests to gather feedback on service quality and product delivery
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards and brand compliance across all interactions
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including off-property sales channels
  • Attend customer events, trade shows, and sales missions to develop business relationships
  • Provide leadership in guest hospitality and create a positive service culture within the sales team

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field + 3 years in sales/marketing; OR
  • 4-year Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field + 1 year in sales/marketing
