About the role
Direct Channel Sales Manager
Smile Communications is seeking a Direct Channel Sales Manager to oversee sales operations and distribution across direct channels in Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operations and distribution activities for the Direct Channels team across regions
- Provide leadership, direction, and development to sales and distribution channels
- Monitor and guide direct channel agents on Smile/NCC SIM activation guidelines and customer onboarding processes
- Coordinate planning, recruitment, training, partner visits, and sales support activities
- Implement sales channel strategies and manage sales forecasts
- Drive and deliver sales targets for new customers, revenues, retention, and BTS turnover
- Ensure adequate retail brand spread and visibility across regions
- Monitor and analyze channel sales volumes and collections
- Monitor sales activity to ensure compliance with Smile standards
- Identify viable locations for sales promotions and campaigns
- Ensure superior customer service aligned with Smile's brand promise
- Communicate goals, products, and plans effectively to sales agents and partners
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the Head of Sales
Requirements
- Minimum BSc/HND degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar position (mandatory)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good listening and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with process focus
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Character aligned with Smile values
