Software Developer (Full Stack)

The Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM) is hiring a Full Stack Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and internal systems supporting academic and administrative operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack web applications and internal systems
• Implement front-end user interfaces using modern frameworks
• Build and optimize back-end services and RESTful APIs
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and implement secure, scalable server-side logic
• Integrate third-party tools and ensure application security, scalability, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and propose technical solutions
• Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong foundation in Computer Science, algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming with experience in modern languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and working with databases (SQL/NoSQL)
• Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and collaborate effectively in diverse teams
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to learning
• Prior experience in academic or edtech environment is a plus
