Accountant

Excel and Grace Consulting, a certified management consulting firm with over 18 years of experience, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of our retail business.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and daily transaction postings
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Monitor daily sales, expenses, and cash flow activities
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash balances, and financial statements
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Track and reconcile inventory-related transactions and stock valuations
• Process payroll and maintain employee salary records
• Prepare and file statutory deductions, taxes, and other regulatory obligations
• Monitor budgets and provide recommendations for cost control and profitability improvement
• Conduct periodic financial audits and stock verification exercises
• Analyze financial data and provide management with actionable insights
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records
• Support management in financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably within a retail, FMCG, or distribution business
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Experience in inventory accounting and stock management
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ATS is an added advantage

Salary N400,000 per month
