About the role
Head of Business Growth
Excel and Grace Consulting is seeking a Head of Business Growth to drive commercial expansion through strategic leadership of sales, account management, and customer success functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial growth strategies to drive revenue, profitability, customer acquisition, and market expansion
- Lead and manage sales, account management, and customer success teams to achieve business growth objectives
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, improve conversion rates, and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
- Develop key account strategies, strengthen customer relationships, and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
- Oversee customer onboarding, product adoption, and customer satisfaction initiatives to reduce churn
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, and Sourcing teams on demand generation campaigns, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans
- Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and business performance to identify new growth opportunities
- Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing commercial teams with clear KPIs and accountability
- Monitor commercial performance, prepare business reports and forecasts, and recommend actions to improve revenue and operational performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or professional certification preferred)
- Minimum 8 years' experience in sales, business development, commercial leadership, customer success, or growth management
- Proven experience leading multiple commercial functions and managing B2B customer relationships
- Strong commercial, analytical, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, business intelligence tools, and data-driven decision-making
- Experience in construction, ConTech, real estate, procurement, supply chain, marketplace platforms, or FinTech is an advantage

NGN 1,500,000 – 2,000,000 monthly (Listed as NGN 1,800,000 in remuneration section)
