Project Accountant

Synergos Nigeria is seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to manage financial operations and reporting for various projects. The role involves ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records, and supporting donor and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and bookkeeping systems
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and audit requirements
• Oversee financial planning and execution of projects
• Monitor project budgets and ensure funds are utilised efficiently
• Liaise with donors, partners, and funding organisations
• Prepare and maintain all financial documentation and supporting records
• Be available to travel for field assignments and project monitoring

Requirements

• Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent)
• 3–5+ years experience in accounting/finance roles with strong experience in:
  • Project finance and budgeting
  • Financial reporting and compliance
  • Bookkeeping and accounting systems
  • Proven ability to work with donors and manage funded projects
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and reporting skills

Salary N400,000 - N600,000 / Month
