About the Role
The Territory Sales Manager will oversee sales operations, distributor management, and market coverage within their assigned territory. You'll be responsible for achieving sales targets, building distributor infrastructure, and ensuring optimal market penetration through strategic beat planning and team management.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement beat plans for distributors in consultation with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure maximum market coverage
- Appoint and onboard distributors, ensuring they have necessary infrastructure including distribution units, warehouses, sales teams, and financial systems
- Monitor distributor performance, track efficiencies, and address issues promptly to ensure long-term operational success
- Maintain and report Management Information System (MIS) data to head office and Regional Sales Manager on a regular basis
- Achieve and manage sales targets set by the Sales Head, breaking down territory targets across channels and beats for both primary and secondary sales
- Lead the distributor sales team, review performance metrics, and implement training programs for continuous improvement
- Monitor competitive activities, market trends, promotions, and new product launches; report market intelligence to management
- Monitor ROI performance across the territory
