Network Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales) - Cloud Networking

Arista Networks is hiring a technical pre-sales engineer to partner with account managers, architect network solutions, and drive new business in cloud networking and data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Partner proactively with Account Managers to understand and solve customer challenges
• Conduct whiteboard network architectural sessions and Arista product presentations
• Architect, design, and propose Data Center, Routing, Campus network and security solutions
• Perform hands-on customer proof-of-concepts and initial network deployments
• Create design guidelines and recommend network improvements
• Lead technical responses to RFP/RFQs
• Manage customer feature requests from requirements through implementation and deployment
• Provide customer feedback to Product Management and Development
• Represent Arista at industry events and conferences
• Stay current on competitive solutions and products
• Author white papers, blogs, and technical articles

Requirements

• Technical degree required
• Networking design and implementation experience
• Practical experience with routing and switching protocols
• Recent experience in Data Center, Routing, or Campus network architecture
• Deep knowledge of switching/routing protocols (Spanning Tree, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, Multicast, QoS, Network Segmentation)
• Work experience as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Network Consulting Engineer
• Excellent presentation skills
• Good understanding of competitor technology landscape
• Fluent in English
• Highly-motivated, passionate, technical, proactive team player
• Sales attitude and ability to drive new business

Preferred Qualifications

• Arista Cloud Engineering (ACE) Level 5 or higher
• Practical security deployment experience
• Recent hands-on CLI experience
• Experience with Netops/Devops tools (Python, Ansible)
• Equivalent industry certifications
