Senior Accountant

Fundsworth Finance Company Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain regulatory compliance, and support strategic financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records
• Prepare and render regulatory reports to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other regulators
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for Board and Management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Liaise with internal and external audits
• Monitor cash flow and recommend cost-saving measures
• Review and approve accounting transactions and journal entries
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to improve business performance
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, auditors, banks, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or STEM-related field
• Professional certification (ACCA or ACA) required
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and statutory compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of banking operations software
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
